Perl: =~ Operator
=~ Operator
Perl uses the =~ operator to compare a string to a regular expression
The string to compare is on the left, regex on the right
This returns either 1 or 0 (true or false)
$myvar = <STDIN>if ($myvar =~ /abc/) { print "$myvar contains 'abc'!";}else { print "$myvar does not contain 'abc'";}
